Alessandra Worsnop- Talking Colour

For this task I began by focusing on my environment and took inspiration from objects in my room exploring their colour and texture and created some initial patterns. I particularly enjoy my butterfly collage as I think it is bold and exciting, it was also very fun to create as I used a wide range of materials such as, watercolour, oil pastel, oil bar, markers, and collage. I attempted to create a mono print by strategically tearing and placing coloured paper onto the page then printing on top. I think the concept was successful but unfortunately the ink I have wasn’t the best as it transferred a lot making the piece covered in ink. If I were to create again, I would use a different type of ink. Overall, I found that using a wide range of materials and techniques was very useful as it meant I experimented a lot and I now know what works and what doesn’t. I think my collage and digital work is the most successful, but I do enjoy every piece individually.
