Taylor clarke-pinder talking colour

When given the task talking colour I immediately started thinking about which media I wanted to use.I experimented with water colour, gauche, colour pencils and pastels. I had also experimented with using tracing paper.
For inspiration I looked to objects that caught my eye due to there colour and texture.
To start I focused on objects that where in my house hold for example plants however, I started to drift away from this theme as I felt I was using the colour green too often and wanted to experiment with new colours .
When searching for new colours I looked to the street markets in Camden and Shepherd’s Bush. My attention was drawn to the colour in the fruits and vegetables I liked this idea as no fruit or vegetables is one colour there are different tones or hues. I enjoyed using pastels and layering them ontop of gauche as the colour then became slightly transparent. This task has made me think about expanding my colour palette and being more conscious of the colours in my surroundings.
