Xinyue Cheng- “Talking Colour”

In the painting exercises in the past two weeks, the main elements I extracted came from nature and life. Because I think there are many colors in nature, they look beautiful when they are intertwined. Like the color of fruit, the color of the sky, the color of plants, the color of food packaging and the color of animals. I chose two ways of drawing in software and drawing on drawing paper respectively.First of all, drawing in the software is more about feeling the effects of brushstrokes. Secondly, the painting on paper uses the technique of watercolor and oil pastel superimposition. The special texture of the oil pastel superimposed on it is also very interesting. It also used marker pens for coloring and portraying some details. In the process of painting, I experienced the use of brushes and colors to show the unique texture of different things, for example, some are smooth, some are plush.
